چکیده

The adjacency matrix is the most fundamental and intuitive object in graph analysis that useful not only mathematically but also for visualizing structures of graphs. Because appearance an critically affected by ordering rows columns, or vertex ordering, statistical assessment graphs together with their sequences important identifying characteristic In this paper, we propose a hypothesis testing framework assesses how locally vertices are connected to each other along specified sequence, which provides foundation optimization problem called envelope reduction minimum linear arrangement. proposed tests particularly suitable moderately small data formulated based on combinatorial approach block model intrinsic ordering.

Active Sequential Hypothesis Testing

Consider a decision maker who is responsible to dynamically collect observations so as to enhance his information about an underlying phenomena of interest in a speedy manner while accounting for the penalty of wrong declaration. Due to the sequential nature of the problem, the decision maker relies on his current information state to adaptively select the most “informative” sensing action amon...

The Hypothesis of Locality and Its Limitations

The hypothesis of locality, its origin and consequences are discussed. This supposition is necessary for establishing the local spacetime frame of accelerated observers; in this connection, the measurement of length in a rotating system is considered in detail. Various limitations of the hypothesis of locality are examined.

Multisource Bayesian sequential hypothesis testing

On some probability space (Ω,F,P), let (X)t≥0, 1 ≤ i ≤ d be d independent Brownian motions with constant drifts μ(i), 1 ≤ i ≤ d, and (T (j) n , Z n )n≥1, 1 ≤ j ≤ m be m independent compound Poisson processes independent of the Brownian motions (X)t≥0, 1 ≤ i ≤ d. For every 1 ≤ j ≤ m, (T (j) n )n≥1 are the arrival times, and (Z n )n≥1 are the marks on some measurable space (E, E), with arrival ra...

Sequential Analysis : Hypothesis Testing and Changepoint Detection

Sequential Analysis: Hypothesis Testing and Changepoint Detection Report Title The main focus of this book is on a systematic development of the theory of sequential hypothesis testing (Part I) and changepoint detection (Part II). In Part III, we briefly describe certain important applications where theoretical results can be used efficiently, perhaps with some reasonable modifications. We revi...

Multisource Bayesian sequential binary hypothesis testing problem

We consider the problem of testing two simple hypotheses about unknown local characteristics of several independent Brownian motions and compound Poisson processes. All of the processes may be observed simultaneously as long as desired before a final choice between hypotheses is made. The objective is to find a decision rule that identifies the correct hypothesis and strikes the optimal balance...
